The fine print, in plain English
Privacy Policy
What Flip Your Points collects, why, who else touches it, and how to get it deleted. Short version: I collect only what I need to run your numbers, I don't sell it, and I never ask for logins or account access.
1. Who I am
This site, flipyourpoints.com, is run by Joshua King, doing business as Flip Your Points. "I," "me," and "my" mean Joshua King and the Flip Your Points business. Flip Your Points is an independent consulting service. It is not a bank, lender, card issuer, or financial advisor.
2. What I collect
What you give me directly
- Contact details: your name and email address, from the Rewards Opportunity Score or an email to me.
- Business and spending details: your business type, approximate monthly spend and spending categories, how many cards you hold, whether you pay balances in full, the rewards you prefer, and anything you type into a notes box.
- Intake materials for a Blueprint: if you become a client, the cards you hold and approximate spend by category, through a short category form. No statements are needed.
- Scheduling and payment details: the date and time you book, and confirmation that your payment went through (see section 5).
- Correspondence: emails and call notes between us.
What the site collects automatically
Like any website, the servers that deliver this site receive your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request, and keep short-lived technical logs to keep the site running and secure. I don't use that data to build a profile of you.
What I work out from your answers
The Rewards Opportunity Score calculates its scores from your answers. I store those scores with your submission so I can follow up with something relevant.
3. What I never ask for
I never ask for bank logins, card or account passwords, full card or account numbers, security codes, PINs, Social Security numbers, or access to your financial accounts. Please don't send statements. If one arrives, I'll delete it without reviewing it, and if anything else sensitive slips through, tell me and I'll delete that too.
4. How I use it
- To calculate and show your score and suggest a sensible next step.
- To reply to you, book your call, and prepare and deliver your Blueprint.
- To take payment, honor the guarantee, and keep basic business and tax records.
- To follow up about the service you asked about. I don't run a mailing list, and I'll only email you beyond that if you ask me to.
- To improve the site and the scorecard, using anonymized or aggregated results that don't identify you or your business. I won't name you or your business publicly without your written permission.
I don't sell your personal information, and I don't share it for advertising.
5. Who else handles it
I use a small number of service providers to run the business. They handle your information only to provide their service to me, under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Airtable stores the submissions from the Rewards Opportunity Score.
- Vercel hosts this site and runs the form handling. It keeps standard technical logs.
- Stripe processes payments. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to me; I only see confirmation of the payment and the details Stripe shares with me, such as your name and email.
- Booking Desk, my scheduling tool at schedule.joshkingworks.com, records the call you book. It is operated by me.
- Email and file tools I use to correspond with you and store the materials you send.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this site, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads.
Beyond that, I share information only if the law requires it, to protect my rights or someone's safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business (in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information). If you apply for a card through one of my affiliate links, you leave this site and the issuer's own privacy policy applies. I may receive compensation for that referral, as explained in the footer of this site.
6. Cookies and tracking
This site doesn't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. Your browser may store small technical items needed for the site to work. If I add analytics later, I'll update this page first and keep it privacy-friendly.
7. How long I keep it
I keep submissions and client files for as long as I need them to deal with your request, deliver and support your Blueprint, and meet record-keeping and tax obligations. If you ask me to delete your information, I will, except for the few records I'm legally required to keep, such as payment records.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask me at any time to:
- tell you what information I hold about you,
- correct it,
- delete it, including your intake materials, or
- stop contacting you.
Just email ask@flipyourpoints.com. I may need to confirm it's really you first. Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as those in California and other U.S. states may give you additional rights, and I'll honor them. I don't discriminate against anyone for exercising their rights. This service is intended for businesses in the United States.
9. Security
The site uses HTTPS, and the services above use industry-standard protections. No system is perfectly secure, though, which is why I don't ask for anything that could give someone access to your accounts. If I ever learn that your information was exposed in a way that could harm you, I'll tell you promptly.
10. Children
This site is for business owners and isn't directed to anyone under 18. I don't knowingly collect information from children. If you think I have, email me and I'll delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I'll update the "last updated" date at the top. If the change is significant, I'll also let current clients know by email.
12. Contact
Questions, access or deletion requests: ask@flipyourpoints.com.
